Background
In recent years governments, regulators, investors, shareholders, and the wider society look to the business community to explain how they are addressing diversity issues within their value chains, and providing visibility on diversity goals, targets and data. In tandem, the legal and societal landscape on collecting diversity data is changing across the USA, Europe, and the UK. There are cross-jurisdiction differences in the legislative, regulatory, and societal demands on multinational organisations in the way that they collect, process and disclose this data, in respect of their boards, workforce and suppliers. This can be increasingly complex to manage, and we invite you to engage in the dialogue and explore the following issues with our experienced panel:
- Why diversity data is collected by companies, and what it is used for
- What the picture looks like in the USA, UK and Europe
- The GCD&I metrics template, and how it can help move the conversation forward between clients and law firms.
